Free-Busy Data Share

Some of us love the ability in Outlook to schedule a meeting and invite others based on when they are free or busy. This happens automatically when your organization uses Exchange Server, but it would be also useful if we want to have a meeting during the work week.about semi formal or personal topics like OTCR or wedding DJing.

In Outlook, open your contact info for me. Most of my contact info is kept up-to-date for you if you use Plaxo, but please copy-paste the following line into the bottom of the “Details” tab, where it reads “Internet Free-Busy, Address:”

Now when you schedule meetings in your Outlook calendar, on the scheduling tab you will be able to see when I do not have previously scheduled meetings.

Want to set this up for yourself, or use a similar scheme for your entire company without buying Exchange Server?
